Couples · Men · In person

A year of therapy
in a single weekend.

Some couples arrive in trouble. Plenty arrive because good is not the same as close. Either way, we are not spending two years talking about it. We go to the root and clear it, and what grows back is not the old relationship repaired. It is a new one.

Who I work with

People who want more than they currently have.

Some are in real trouble. Some are perfectly fine and know there is a version of their relationship they have not reached yet.

Some come as a couple. Plenty come alone, because their partner isn't ready, or because the thing that needs looking at is theirs. Both work. I've watched one person change a whole dynamic more times than I can count.

And half of my work is with men, usually somewhere in the middle of a transformation that is already underway. A marriage, a way of working, a version of himself that is coming apart faster than the next one is arriving. That passage has a shape to it, and it goes very differently with someone who has walked it beside other men than it does alone at two in the morning.

Can you relate to these

The three things that show up in almost every room.

Whatever brought you here is particular to you, and it doesn't have to be a crisis to be worth the work. Underneath, it is almost always one of these three, and they feed each other.

Disconnection

You love each other and you feel like roommates. The warmth leaked out slowly and neither of you chose that.

One person turned away, one leaning in

Conflict

One goes cold, the other goes loud. Or you both shut down. Either way nothing lands and nothing resolves.

Communication

You're not having twenty fights. You're having one fight, twenty times, and neither of you can see it because you're inside it.

Who you'd be sitting with

The insight isn't the problem. Reaching it under pressure is.

I'm not a therapist, I'm a practitioner. I took the best of what the research says, Gottman, nonviolent communication, Harville Hendrix, attachment theory, nervous system science, and pressure-tested it in real rooms with real couples for seven years.

Almost every couple I meet already understands their problem. They can describe it accurately. And none of that reaches them at 10pm when it starts again, because by then the thinking part of the brain has handed control to an older one. Your body decides before you do.

So the first layer is the nervous system. Learning to feel the moment you leave the window where you can still choose, and to come back inside it. That alone changes more than most people expect, and nothing else holds without it.

Underneath that I work in the depth-psychology tradition, the Jungian end of it. Shadow. The parts of a person that got exiled early and still run things from the back. The story playing underneath the story you are actually arguing about. I am not a licensed therapist and this is not therapy. It is that map, taken into a room, and worked with directly.

Then we go to the root, and we actually clear it. The resentment that's four years old. The trigger with roots long before this relationship. The hurt that was never repaired and went underground. Not managed. Resolved. That is why this moves faster than years of talking about it, and the whole time, both of you are held.

All relationship work is individual work too. I build rooms where people get to be seen, heard, understood, felt, respected and loved, in every form that takes. Committed partnership is where I go deepest, and it isn't the only place the work applies.

Signature program

A year of therapy in a single weekend.

This is where that happens. The Private Couple's Relationship Reset Retreat: three days, built for you and your partner alone, somewhere the outside world can't reach you. A rite of passage for your relationship to move to another level, where you both feel fully seen, heard, understood, respected and loved, even in conflict.

Before

I build it around you first

Individual sessions with each of you beforehand, so I find the real root of the disconnection and the patterns holding it in place. Your retreat is then designed around that, not around a curriculum.

After

And I stay for the landing

Sessions afterwards, because the gap between a breakthrough and ordinary life is where most work quietly disappears. The commitments and the tools stay alive.

What couples leave with

  • Communication barriers broken for good.
  • Knowing how to feel and show love during conflict.
  • Past resentments healed, and truly forgiven.
  • Unspoken truths finally said, unresolved traumas met.
  • Fun, play and ceremony back in the relationship.
  • Commitments redefined for the people you have both become.

The cost of staying in a relationship that is less than the one you both know is possible is high. So is the cost of divorce, financially and to a family. This is built to be worth it.

"This was an experience way out of our box and we both dove in with open minds. It was uncomfortable at times, but allowing ourselves to sit in the discomfort led us to the gift of our deep abiding love and respect, coming free from all the weighty issues we allowed to weigh us down over 25 years. My husband and I would recommend Jeff to any couple. Unreservedly."

Jen

It starts with a conversation, not a deposit.

Twenty five minutes on the phone with me, free. We look at what is actually happening between you and I tell you honestly whether this is the right thing.

It does not have to be both of you, and the two of you do not have to agree about any of this yet. One person wanting something better is a real place to start. Plenty of retreats began with one partner on that call alone.

Let's see if this is a fit

What couples say afterwards

"Our relationship has seismically changed because of this retreat. We had a chance to safely communicate, clear and repair items that had been significantly impacting us, in a more effective way than our attempts in previous traditional couples therapy."

Suzy

"You helped me understand my trauma response and where it came from, and you helped him understand it too. That changed the whole dynamic. Working with Jeff is amazing because he cares, he actually really cares about making your relationship better."

Laura

"I found the experience to be profound and transformative. In this space you are safe, free of judgement, and positioned to show up into your best self. Above all it's a call of love, for love. I urge you to answer the call."

Adrian

Not everybody starts there

The same work, in containers of different sizes.

The retreat is the deepest version of this, not the only one. What changes between these is how far we get to go and how much time we have together. What doesn't change is the method: settle the nervous system, find the pattern, clear what is holding it in place, and put real tools in your hands so you can do it without me.

"The main reason we saw Jeff was because we weren't communicating well. We were constantly poking at each other and not hearing each other. The hardest part was forgiveness, really letting go and feeling that your partner forgives you for the ways you've hurt them. Everything shifted."

Michelle

A day, a ceremony, or ninety days

Five uninterrupted hours in one room. A held ceremony to bring you back into real contact with each other. Or the Ninety Day Reset, brought to your home, half days with calls in between.

Coaching

Regular meetings to hold you both accountable, keep a witness in the room, and watch the progress honestly. Sessions are available with each of you separately, so each of you can bring what you are ready to bring.

Usually runs alongside an in-person experience rather than instead of one.

Half of my work

Men come to me mid-transformation.

A relationship, a way of working, a version of himself that got him here and won't get him further. My work is helping a man move through that passage instead of around it, and land it.

Most men were never taught how to stay present when someone they love is in pain. We were taught to fix it, defend against it, or leave the room. This isn't about becoming softer or smaller. It's about a man who is grounded enough that his strength is safe to be near. Men of the heart who are still fully men.

One to one, over months

Men's coaching

Phone or Zoom, through the chapter you are actually in. We get into real contact with what you are feeling rather than the story about it, clear what has been sitting unhealed, and make the decisions in front of you from something deeper than fear or momentum.

Support for the breakthrough, and for the harder part, which is what you do the week after it.

In person, built for one man

Custom healing immersion

Twenty four or forty eight hours designed entirely around you, with a preparation call beforehand so we do not spend the first morning finding the thread, and an integration session afterwards so it lands rather than fades.

This is the fastest and most complete work I do with a man.

"When Jeff speaks to you, it is as if you are the only thing that exists. I leave every session with a new perception of what's possible."

Nizar

"You saved my marriage and had a monumental impact on me personally."

And there is a brotherhood

Camp Brotherhood is a group men's retreat in the woods, run with a brother of mine. Play as boys, rise as men.

It is not the muck. The one-to-one work above goes down into what hurts. Camp goes the other direction: rebuilding masculinity from the inner child up, through play, adventure, competition, fire and being genuinely witnessed by other men. You leave with your self worth rebuilt, which is what actually holds a man up under the demands of a modern life.

I wrote a book

Win Together. The new way to do conflict.

I kept teaching the same things in rooms and wanted couples to have the tools at home, for the moment they're actually needed. It's a workbook, not a book you read once. Ring bound so it lays flat on the table between you, with practices, prompts and space to write.

Twenty modules, three printed cheatsheets on cardstock, and a set of videos and audio. Some couples use it entirely on their own and make real progress.

"We learned real strategies and tactics to handle future disagreements calmly, effectively, and with love."

Curt

"Please mail me 3 more copies of your relationship conflict book."

Elsewhere

This material has been taught in a lot of rooms.

The book came out of seven years of doing this live, so it keeps going back out that way. On other people's shows, at leadership events, and in workshops where couples do the work in front of each other rather than take notes about it.

Not a sample, not a teaser. A whole module, plus the two things I would hand you alongside it. Together they are the Win Together Starter Kit.

  • A full chapter. Understanding men and women in conflict, the entire module, exactly as it appears in the book.
  • The Win Together Blueprint. The whole conflict protocol on one page. Print it and put it where you will actually reach for it.
  • Love Hurts, Love Heals. An audio on why growing did not bring you closer, and what actually closes the gap. For the car, the walk, or the hour before a conversation you have been putting off.

In their own words

Real conflicts. Real shifts.

"I've been in therapy. I've read the books. But this was the first time we actually talked without blaming or shutting down.

The trust was built in that room. And from that trust, we could finally say the truth."

Laura

"Opening your heart to love deeply and fully isn't easy, but Jeff takes you through the steps of connection and forgiveness to get there. It'll change your life for the better and forever."

Christina

"For the first time ever I was able to speak my appreciation, frustration and truth as he held space for me with total attention and respect. It healed years of repressed feelings."

Marina

For events

Bring this into a room of your own.

Keynotes, workshops, panels and facilitation on conflict, connection and what actually happens between two people under pressure. Not a talk people sit through, a room people take part in.

"There really aren't that many opportunities for men to learn how to hold space for women in the world. This is that space."

Pablo

"It is rare to find a male facilitator so committed to the experience and voice of a woman. He can handle serious subject matters with safety and care, and welcome fun, joy, anger, sadness and playfulness with equal attention."

Everything starts with a conversation, and that conversation is free.

We look at what's actually going on, what you want on the other side of it, and I tell you what I would do about it. Come on your own or come together. If it's something I can help with, I'll say so. If it isn't, I'll say that too.
